All activities for American Transplant Congress will take place in the Pennsylvania Convention Center unless otherwise noted.


Registration


All attendees must register for all events they wish to attend during the meeting. Registration is located in the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, at the Market Street Entrance.
The hours of registration are:
Friday, April 29 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Saturday, April 30 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Sunday, May 1 6:30 am – 6:30 pm
Monday, May 2 6:30 am – 6:30 pm
Tuesday, May 3 6:30 am – 6:30 pm
Wednesday, May 4 6:30 am – 1:00 pm

Badge Pick up at the Meeting


All badges must be picked up when you arrive at the registration desk located in the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. An email with a bar code will be sent to each registrant prior to the meeting. There are special computers set up for “Express Check In” where you scan your bar code and then proceed to “Badge Pick up.” If you are registered but do not receive your email bar code, the procedure is simple, just go to the preregistration desk, give your name to the clerk and your badge will be printed for you.

The American Transplant Congress Supplement to the American Journal of Transplantation, mini-program, Pre-meeting USB drive (if applicable) and meeting bag will be available at badge pick up. Badge Pick up is located in the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Pre-Meeting Symposia


This year there are eight Pre-Meeting Symposia on Saturday. If you pre-registered for any of the symposia you will receive a ribbon to affix to your badge. You must have a Pre-meeting ribbon on your badge in order to attend the courses. If you have not pre-registered and wish to do so, you can easily add this event at registration. One USB drive for all the sessions is available during badge pickup for attendees registered for the pre-meeting sessions.

Sunrise Symposia


Sunrise Symposia are offered each morning Sunday-Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:15 am. Registration for these is included in your annual meeting registration. Continental breakfast will be available each day at 6:30 am outside the meeting rooms.

Early Morning Workshops


These small focused sessions will take place Sunday – Wednesday. If you registered for Early Morning Workshops, tickets for these events are attached to your badge. If you do not find tickets for these events, this means that your selection or alternate selection was filled to capacity. If you registered by credit card, your card was not charged. If you registered by check, a refund will be sent to you after the meeting. These are limited attendance events and once a workshop is filled, we will not increase the number. You cannot enter the workshops without a ticket. Please check at the registration desk for availability of workshops.

Please Note: The Early Morning Workshops (Rooms 115-118) are located in the expansion side of the convention center, 13th street and Arch. To access these rooms inside, go to level two and follow signage across the bridge over 13th Street, then take escalator to level one.

Exhibits


The exhibits are located in Exhibit Hall A of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Exhibits are an integral part of the complete educational experience featuring the latest in technology and research in the field of transplantation medicine. Detailed information on the exhibits is included in the final program.

One More Transplant, One More Life
Join us for the opening reception in the exhibit hall and the “One More Transplant, One More Life” Event, celebrating local organ recipients.

Daily Newspaper


ATC will publish a daily newspaper, Sunday – Tuesday. Updates on daily events and stories about both associations will be included.

Refund Policy


Requests for refunds must be received in writing by April 22, 2011 to be reimbursed. There is a $75.00 processing fee for all refunds. Refunds are not processed until after the meeting. Refund requests received after April 22, 2011 are not honored. There are no refunds for EMW’s, ticketed or social events.

Lead Retrieval


Your badge includes with a barcode that can be scanned by exhibiting companies during show hours to capture your name and address for follow up information.

American Journal of Transplantation


Wiley-Blackwell, the publisher of the American Journal of Transplantation, has a booth in the exhibit hall. All attendees are encouraged to visit Booth 611 to pick up a free copy.

Shuttle Bus


In continuing efforts to “go green” there is no shuttle bus service between the convention center and hotels.

Continuing Education


Physicians
The American Society for Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The ASTS designates this live activity for a maximum of 36.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pharmacists

Nurses

Transplant Coordinators
Category 1 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) have been applied for through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC).

Online Evaluation Completion


The American Transplant Congress has online program evaluation and CME certificate. You can access the evaluation at any email station in the Cyber Cafe by clicking on www.ATCcertificate.com. Follow the easy instructions for completion. There are no paper evaluations so be sure to go online and complete your evaluation.

Baggage/Coat Check


There will be a baggage check area set up on Tuesday, May 3 from 6:30 am – 6:00 pm and Wednesday, May 4 from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Grand Hall near registration. There will be a fee of $2.00 per item to check your baggage. Set up for a coat check will be determined on site if weather necessitates.
 


Member Services


ASTS and AST have membership booths in the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Membership, future meeting information, public policy information, and society literature as well as computer demonstrations of the ASTS and AST Home Pages will be available. Members and non-members are encouraged to stop by to find out about the many benefits of ASTS and AST membership.

ATC On Demand


ATC will offer recordings of the Pre-Meeting, Sunrise, Midday and State-of- the-Art-Sessions! ATC On Demand will be available only to registered attendees for $199 at the meeting. A Learning Center Information booth will be located on the bridge between the Grand Hall and Hall A during open registration hours You must be registered for the annual meeting to receive the discounted rate for ATC On Demand. After the congress, fees will increase.

Posters are to be removed immediately following the end of poster viewing. Any poster left on the board will be removed and can be picked up at the Freeman desk in back of the hall. Any posters not picked up at the end of the meeting are discarded. All poster sessions take place in Exhibit Hall B of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Cyber Café


Keep in touch with home and office! Complimentary email stations are available inside Hall A of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This area is open during exhibit hours. A second station is available on the bridge between the Grand Hall and Hall A during open registration hours. There are sufficient stations open for checking your email; however, you are limited to 15 minute sessions. As a special service to ATC attendees, there is free wireless internet access in the public concourse spaces, network: ATC2011. There is also wireless available in Hall A: ATC2011, passcode: ATCPHL2011. There is no wireless access in the Grand Hall, Exhibit Hall B or session rooms.

Lost and Found


Lost items left in meeting rooms will be turned into security. Attendees can call x5490 from house phones to inquire about lost items. The ATC is NOT responsible for anything left in meeting rooms.
 


Printing Services


FedEx is located inside the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown hotel lobby. Their standard hours are Sunday-Friday 9am-11pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-9pm.

ATM


ATM machines are located on every floor of the PA Convention Center.

Housing Desk


A representative from OnPeak, the official ATC Housing provider will be available in the Grand Hall during open registration hours.
 


ATC Night Out


By popular demand, we bring you the party of all parties–ATC Night Out! Come hang out at the Field House, under the Pennsylvania Convention Center. A cash bar will be available. ATC Night out will be held Tuesday, May 3rd from 9:00 pm – 1:00 am. This is a ticketed event. Check at registration for availability.

Passport to Transplantation


There is a “Passport to Transplantation” in your meeting bag. Visit the exhibit hall with your passport and become eligible to win a free registration to the 2012 ATC in Boston. Complete instructions included in the passport. Drop your completed passport in one of the “Passport” boxes in registration by Tuesday, May 3, 1:00 pm. Winners will be announced at the Wednesday Plenary Session and posted on the ATC website. You will also be notified via email following the meeting for confirmation.

Concessions


Concession stands will be available in Exhibit Hall A on Sunday, May 1 and Monday, May 2 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Snack Breaks in Exhibit Hall A


There will be snack breaks in Exhibit Hall A Sunday and Monday, 3:30 - 4:00 PM.

Satellite Symposia


Satellite Symposia will be held at various times during the meeting. Please visit the Satellite Symposia booth located on the Bridge between the Grand Hall and Exhibit Hall A to register for these events.

Innovation Theater


This year the ATC will be providing an “Innovation Theater”, located in the back of Exhibit Hall B. Look for signs listing a number of product presentations, which will take place during Sunday, May 1, 2011.

Speaker Slide Check In


The Speaker Ready Room is located in Room 104AB, level one, of the Pennsylvania Convention Center and will be open during the following hours:

Philadelphia Information and Restaurant Reservation Desk


There are two Philadelphia Information Desks: one is located in the Grand Hall by Registration and the second located on the 100 level by the 12th and Arch street entrance. Attendees may obtain valuable discounts for tours and information about Philadelphia. Additionally, you can make restaurant reservations.

The information desk will be open during the following hours:

First Aid


A First Aid office is located on level one inside Exhibit Hall A. There is a first aid attendant on duty during all open hours in the center.

Press


The Press Room is located in Room 110A, Level One of the convention center. Your materials, program supplement and mini program will be in the Press Room.
